Do you run a business or provide a service and don't want to remain stagnant in the market and are trying to find a way to increase your customer base? Email marketing could be a great option!
Of course, like any tool, it needs to be used correctly or it might backfire! And we don’t want that to happen.
Here are the main ADVANTAGES of using email marketing:
- Increases customer traffic to your website.
- Has the power to boost sales if you have an e-commerce.
- Attracts more customers to your business.
- It's low cost and has a wide reach.
- Offers greater flexibility; you can include a link, an image, or even a video.
- Allows for many tests.
- Personalization of content with information from your customer.
- Work with newsletters (periodic information) or promotional emails (which may include a call-to-action button so that the customer continues to a self-service on your site, for example).
How does email marketing help tighten the relationship between your company/brand and its customers?
- Through direct contact (one-on-one).
- By promoting content created by you.
- Sending discount coupons, gift vouchers, and also informing about promotions.
- Promoting the launch of a new product or service.
- Guiding the customer, in greetings, order confirmations, payments, receipt, and tracking of product delivery.
How to do it?
- Always start with planning. What, when, how, where, how much, and why should always be answered convincingly.
- Develop and create content, graphic art, texts, images, etc.
- Carry out the sending.
Phew… is it over? No! Here actually begins the mission to understand the data and results of your email marketing campaigns and make the fine adjustments.
But a word of caution about Spam is necessary. Depending on the body, subject, sender, or number of failures in delivering the message to the customer, your message may be automatically categorized as Spam and enter a blocklist of various email providers, thus preventing your communication from reaching your client. It's worth spending some time understanding how to structure your message more efficiently.
And for me to succeed in my Email Marketing campaign, how do I do it?
- Spruce up the email, ensure it contains relevant content for your client.
- Personalize the content of the email, this will increase the likelihood of success.
- Use the name of a person as the sender, this makes the person think twice before deleting the message.
- Have balance in the frequency of sends. Nobody wants their email box crammed with your messages, they will start to be ignored by customers if too frequent.
- Offer the option to unsubscribe in the body of the email. The customer has the right to opt for non-receipt, and it is not mandatory for them to justify the reason.
- Did your customer open the email? They will keep it open for a few seconds before going to the next or deleting. You need to have content that motivates the customer to want to spend more time with what you sent.
- Avoid attachments, heavy videos, or images. Include links that lead the customer to content of interest.
